Vegan Christmas Yogurt Bark
This guilt free vegan yogurt bark is so simple to make and delicious!
This yogurt bark is perfect snack for the Holiday. This is not so much a recipe but a snack idea! I’ve seen yogurt bark floating around the web for awhile but I decided to do a vegan version. If you’re like me and don’t have patience to melt chocolate on the stove to make real chocolate bark; than this is an easy guilt free option! The best part is that it tastes just like ice cream. I myself, am not too big on yogurt but I was pleasantly surprised the first time I made this since it tasted more like ice cream. I have used a variety of yogurts for recipe but due to the Holiday I decided to go with vanilla.
Ingredients Needed:
2 Vanilla Dairy Free Yogurt (or yogurt of choice)
Dried Cranberries
Cacao Nibs or Chocolate Chips
Sliced or Crushed Almonds
Cinnamon
Parchment Paper
Note: you can add just about anything to the top.. my original idea included crushed Oreos which is also delicious! I personally used 2 yogurts and a handful of each topping but this is an idea that does not cause for specific measurements. Go crazy with it!!
Step 1: Place your parchment paper on a plate and pour the yogurt out evenly. Use a spoon or spatula to smooth out the thick layer. Make sure that its not too thin.
Step 2: Top your yogurt with the cranberries, almonds and cacao nibs (or any other toppings of choice). Feel free to push down on a few of your toppings so that they freeze in the middle of the yogurt too.
Step 3: Place it in the freezer for 4-5 hours.
Step 5: Lift the parchment paper and it should separate from the yogurt. Place the frozen yogurt onto a cutting board and cut it into squares or rustic pieces.
VIOLA! Now you have some delicious and guilt free yogurt bark. Please send me photos if you decide to make this @lovebyplants :)
